  • Wes Piatt

    Owner, CrossFit Coach

Wes is a veteran athlete who’s participated in the CrossFit Games as well as the NorCal and SoCal Regionals. When he began CrossFit in 2009, admittedly, it wasn’t an easy feat. “The first workout I did while on deployment overseas was ‘Filthy Fifty.’ I couldn’t even get through the double-unders! I threw my jump rope across the room in frustration and fell in love all at the same time. I did that workout every day for two weeks until I was able to finish it.”

Wes is a prime example of what you can accomplish if you don’t give up. Today, he holds certificates in CrossFit Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, as well as being apart of the CrossFit HQ Seminar Staff. As a coach, he uses his own training experiences to inspire his members. So, listen, learn, and watch what happens.

  • Amanda Poso

Coach Amanda has been CrossFitting for almost 2 years and her favorite part is weightlifting.  She grew up playing softball, and she played field hockey in high school.  When she left for college, she found herself without a sport to play, until she found CrossFit!  She says, “It was like I found the sport that I had been missing!”

Through the JumpStart program in 2017, Amanda lost a collective 80 pounds!  “Its sparked a fire that I had lost since I stopped playing sports, and I grew a great interest in CrossFit.  Eventually, I knew I wanted to help people along the same transformation that I had, but did not know when the right time was.  When Wes asked if I was interested in coaching, I knew it was my chance to give back to CRCF and help those who were in similar shoes as me.”

Amanda is passionate about understanding someone’s “why” and helping them overcome any physical or mental obstacle to achieve their goal.  She says, “Understanding someone’s “why” includes why they are partaking in an unhealthy habit and why they desire to becoming better.

When asked what she loves most about coaching, Amanda says, “I love being able to help people the way Coast Range has helped me.  I love being able to give back toward a community that made my life better and to give people inspiration from my process.”

Amanda’s favorite quote is, “The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.”

    • CrossFit Level 1
  • Amy Garcia

Coach Amy has been doing CrossFit for almost 2 years.  Her athletic background includes basketball, cross country, track & field, gymnastics and dance.  She is currently majoring in Kinesiology.

Amy became a CrossFit coach by way of “dreaming and waiting.”  She says, “Before Wes ever reached out to me about the coaching internship, it was all Eric and talked about job-wise.  I was in a job that had become repetitive, and so many times, we talked about how awesome it would be to coach at CRCF.  I kept my head up, and the opportunity came knocking WAY sooner than we expected.  So here I am today, pursuing the goal of becoming a better coach!”

Amy is so passionate about CrossFit–not just the sport, but for all that it brings.  It has forced her to grow both mentally and physically.  She loves that CrossFit teaches discipline, accountability and community, and leads you into better nutrition and a better lifestyle!  When asked what she loves most about coaching her members, she says, “I love the fact that I’m contributing to their path of a healthier lifestyle–a lifestyle that will help them live longer.  They may hate the workout or the warm-up, but I know later, they’re going to thank CrossFit for the fact that they can still move 40 years from now!”

Amy’s favorite quote is “No challenge, no reward.”

One more thing she wants you to know, “I’m really nice, I promise.”

    • CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
  • Natalie Talbert

Coach Natalie has been CrossFitting for 5 years.  Her athletic background began in swimming when she was eight.  She quickly switched to water polo, playing through high school and eventually at the D1 level at San Jose State for four years.  She started competitively CrossFitting in 2016 and went to the CrossFit West Regional on a team last year! (RIP Regionals).

Natalie began her coaching career when she was 18 coaching swimmers ages 4-18.  From there, she transitioned to coaching water polo at the age of 21.  She then coached JV and Varsity boys and girls at the high school level.  Following her years coaching fish, she transitioned to land and began coaching CrossFit in 2015 when she was approached by her mentor about coaching.  Without hesitation, she jumped in and hasn’t looked back!

Natalie is passionate about “people, movement, and family.”  She says, “It is joy of mine to walk alongside people through life’s joys, sorrows, pains, and laughter. I am passionate about coming alongside people to see their goals and aspirations met. I am passionate about seeing people move and seeing people move WELL. I believe that we have been given bodies in order to use them and to take care of them, so as my passions collide, I find a perfect union in coaching CrossFit! Last, but of course not least, I would do anything for my family! When I am not in the gym, I am with my husband Sam and my daughter, Azariah!”

Natalie says her favorite part of coaching her members is facilitation the best hour of their day and meeting with them on an athletic and personal level.  She also likes hanging out, being a safe place, and getting to know what makes them tick.

Natalie’s favorite quote is, “Consistency plus duration equals impact.”

Adelina’s impressive resume includes seven years of figure skating, plus two years of gymnastics and water polo, respectively. • CrossFit Level 1
  • Brett Freliche

    CrossFit Coach, Sports Nutritionist

Coach Brett Freliche is passionate about helping people become the best version of themselves. Being athletic all his life, competing in wrestling in high school (even getting the fastest pin one year in 13 seconds), playing rugby in college, and hockey in his personal life; it wasn’t until Brett did a workout at CRCF that he really felt a connection not only with CrossFit, but with Coast Range CrossFit in particular.

Now Coach Brett has changed his career path and dedicated his life to CrossFit and coaching his members. One of Brett’s favorite quotes is something that Greg taught him, “Our understanding is that the needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind. One needs functional competence to stay out of the nursing home. The other one wants functional dominance to win medals”, symbolizing to Brett that CrossFit isn’t just for the young, and anyone with enough willpower and determination, could practice CrossFit for a long time.
