Coach Natalie has been CrossFitting for 5 years. Her athletic background began in swimming when she was eight. She quickly switched to water polo, playing through high school and eventually at the D1 level at San Jose State for four years. She started competitively CrossFitting in 2016 and went to the CrossFit West Regional on a team last year! (RIP Regionals).
Natalie began her coaching career when she was 18 coaching swimmers ages 4-18. From there, she transitioned to coaching water polo at the age of 21. She then coached JV and Varsity boys and girls at the high school level. Following her years coaching fish, she transitioned to land and began coaching CrossFit in 2015 when she was approached by her mentor about coaching. Without hesitation, she jumped in and hasn’t looked back!
Natalie is passionate about “people, movement, and family.” She says, “It is joy of mine to walk alongside people through life’s joys, sorrows, pains, and laughter. I am passionate about coming alongside people to see their goals and aspirations met. I am passionate about seeing people move and seeing people move WELL. I believe that we have been given bodies in order to use them and to take care of them, so as my passions collide, I find a perfect union in coaching CrossFit! Last, but of course not least, I would do anything for my family! When I am not in the gym, I am with my husband Sam and my daughter, Azariah!”
Natalie says her favorite part of coaching her members is facilitation the best hour of their day and meeting with them on an athletic and personal level. She also likes hanging out, being a safe place, and getting to know what makes them tick.
Natalie’s favorite quote is, “Consistency plus duration equals impact.”
